Soap & Glory - 'One heck of a BLOT'

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot

Over the past year or so, I have much preferred to wear less powder.  I have found though, since returning to an office environment, whether it has something to do with the air conditioning and lack of fresh air by afternoon, the oils are oozing from my pores - eurgh, exactly!

My Thoughts

Soap & Glory 'One Heck of a Blot' isn't designed to be a setting powder, it has been designed in such a way to absorb excess moisture from the skin - will probably sound a bit bizarre, but I find using an eyeshadow blending brush ideal when applying this powder.  By using this technique you can get right in about the areas you feel warrant the most attention.  For me, this is my chin, sides of nose and on my forehead just above the eyebrows and top of nose area.  These are the areas I find gain most moisture throughout the day.  One Heck of Blot helps you keep a dewy look whilst secretly tackling any unwanted shine.  It's simply wonderful.

I keep this handy at work for those little touch ups throughout the day.

What the S&G Beauties say:

The secret to perfect, shine-free skin is… Soap & Glory’s new SUPER-TRANSLUCENT MATTIFYING POWDER. It offers world-class shine control and oil-absorption, is ultra-light, and gives skin a traceless, smooth, velvety finish. One shade. For all skin types. Trust us. You want this.
(Agreed)

You can purchase Soap & Glory's One Heck of a Blot at Boots and it retails for £12.

  4. I've heard so many good things about this, I know it's translucent but I just don't know if it would be good for darker skin tones. I agree with you about using a smaller brush for powder though, I do that as it makes my application more targeted.

  10. I really wanted to like this but found after a few uses the powder developed a 'crust' that I have to keep scraping off every time I want to use it. X

  12. This sounds like a lovely product, I'm a huge fan of Rimmel's Stay Matte powder which sounds like it does a similar job. I'd high recommend it if you haven't tried it before!
