Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3 - Review

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3
I know, last to the party!  I had read so many rave reviews about the Makeup Revolution  Redemption Iconic 3 Palette that I just had to treat myself and my sister to it for Christmas.  My goodness it is gorgeous!

The Iconic 3 palette is the perfect combination of mattes and sparkles.  Everyone is correct, it is the perfect dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which I bought on impulse when it first was released.

It is safe to say that Makeup Revolution give Urban Decay a run for their money!  At a fraction of the price Makeup Revolution produce almost identical palettes and although a heck of a lot cheaper than Urban Decay, they do not scrimp on the quality.

The palettes from Makeup Revolution are of amazing quality.  If you were to remove the shadows from their packaging and laid them along side the likes of an Urban Decay palette, I think you would be hard pushed to guess which was which.

That aside, the Iconic 3 palette is simply stunning.  My favourite thing about trying new makeup is the swatching. Whether at home or out at the shops my arms end up covered in makeup - we're Bloggers we have an excuse.

As you can tell, the swatches of the Iconic 3 palette are highly pigmented.   On application, residue is minimal and they literally glide on. When used with the eye primer the colour lasts for hours.  I get up at 5:30 daily and my makeup is done around 6am, I don't arrive home from work until 7pm.  On inspection when I get in, I am always impressed with the longevity of my eye makeup. Yes, of course it isn't absolutely perfect but it still looks pretty great.

If I were to change one thing about the palettes it would be the applicators - I prefer a nice brush, comes down to personal preference.    This is the only negative for £4 I can live with it.

My wish list of Makeup Revolution products that I want to try is growing daily.  Time to find some extra storage space.

  2. I have yet to try anything from Make up Revolution and am toying with the idea of buying this. I might get both the 2nd and 3rd palette.
