Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer

I have well and truly caught the Makeup Revolution bug.  I have a few items lined up for review but today I want to quickly talk about the Focus & Fix Eye Primer.

On a day to day basis I really rely on make up primers - especially primers for the eye.  My day starts at 05:15 and doesn't finish until I come in the door around 18:45.  For me it is important that my eyeshadow lasts. If I forget to wear a primer it will be creased and fading by midday.

Focus & Fix Primer

The Focus & Fix eye primer by Makeup Revolution has really impressed me.  This light formula glides on and easily blends, creating the perfect canvas for my eyeshadow.   I like the wand for application, it keeps mess to a minimum.  This formula literally keeps my eye shadow in place all day long and I have been raving about it to my friends and family.

The best part is the cost - £2.50, which in comparison with one of the top brands, who price at £16 (focus and fix does a better job), this is a complete steal- time to stock up!  With Christmas coming up I am sure your girlfriends would appreciate this gem in their stocking.

I have been using 'original' however, the Focus & Fix primer also comes in 'brighten' and 'matte'.

All in all very impressive product for such a low price.

  1. Great review! I think with some brands becoming so cheap you are a little hesitant to buy but this sounds amazing x

  2. I use primer every time i wear eyeshadow. Even though the sales person pointed out repeatedly to me that she thinks primers are not necessary. I don't know in which easy peasy beauty world she is living but on me it takes exactly 2 hours for my eyeshadow to vanish into the crease and my eyeliner to spread under my eyes. I am using currently one from BE which is a brand of Ici Paris (french/belgian/dutch version of Sephora) which is priced at 14 euro. This sounds like a good cheap alternative.

  3. It's great to hear that cheaper products are just as good (if not better) than premium brands, especially if you're on a budget. Thanks for the post, I think I will have to pop this in my basket on my next shopping trip!

  4. I've never even considered using an eye primer before - I always reckoned my everyday primer would do the job. At £2.50, though, I might just have to give it a go! :)

  7. Thanks for the review! I can never find eye primer that actually works for me, so I'll look for this brand. Hopefully it's sold here in the US!
