Another Haul Post :-)

When your sister rings you on a Sunday morning and asks for a 'lift into town', you just know that it is going to hit your bank balance hard - diesel, lunch and unplanned shopping..
Here are a few pieces I picked up yesterday:
Bourjois; Benefit; Natural Collection; Origins; Loreal; Lee Stafford; Garnier; Yankee; Next

Unplanned shopping trips - always the most expensive

Skin

I decided to try the Garnier Michellar Cleansing Water, being a fan of Bioderma this product has been on my radar for a while.  My Sister has said she doesn't think it is as good as Bioderma but I'll give it ago, then make up my mind for myself.  Along with it I repurchased the Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover - I really like this product, it is very gentle.

I have three sets of Bridesmaid duties this Summer, which I have mentioned a lot in previous posts, so I would like my skin to be as blemish free as possible.  I have read a lot about charcoal masks for deep pore cleansing.  When I spotted The Origins Clear Improvements Charcoal Mask, it immediately went in my basket.  I have never tried anything by Origins but have heard nothing but positive things - I will review this and let you know how I get on.

Hands & Hair

I Love a good hand cream I do!  My local boots has now got itself a Molton Brown stand, excellent!  I decided to go for the Molton Brown Replenishing Hand Cream - Rhubarb & Rose.  It smells amazing!  Perfect size for handbags too which is another bonus.  I am currently all good on the shampoo & conditioner front but I was in desperate need of a good, large, round brush for blow drying my hair.  Since having my extensions put in, blow drying has become a real chore and my current brush isn't up to standard, it takes far too long.  I decided to go for 'My big fat silky smoother' by Lee Stafford, which is a Natural bristle, Ceramic 39mm radial brush.

Bourjois; Benefit; Natural Collection; Origins; Loreal; Lee Stafford; Garnier; Yankee; Next

Makeup

The fun bit -  Since the blogasphere has been going completely 'Benefit Push Up Liner' daft - I thought it was about time I found out what the fuss is about for myself so I picked it up.    Next, I went over to Bourjois and got another Color Boost Crayon to add to my collection.  These crayons are amazingly pigmented and moisturising.  I went for #05 Red Island.

Concealer wise, my normal favourite is the Nars Creamy Concealer.   I have been literally scraping the tube dry for the last fortnight or so.  Aberdeen doesn't have a Nars counter so I was on a mission to pick up the closest 'dupe' that I could find.   This came in the form of the Chanel Long Lasting Concealer in #10 Beige Clair.  I do really like Chanel products so hoping this one works for me.

After being intrigued by a post recently written by Laura, known better as 'Lola & Behold' I decided to pick up 3 little eyeshadows from Natural Collection which were only about £1.79, ridiculously cheap.  I swatched a few shades in the shop and the pigmentation really impressed me so I went for - Milk Chocolate, Willow and White Opal.  I will of course review them in due course.

The last item of makeup I picked up yesterday was L'oreal Super Liner - Brow Artist #03 Brunette.  Well you can never have enough.

Bourjois; Benefit; Natural Collection; Origins; Loreal; Lee Stafford; Garnier; Yankee; Next

Home

Got two things for the home - Large Yankee Candle - Black Cherry.  I burn candles in my kitchen constantly to get rid of any food smells.  My Pink Dragonfruit is on the last legs so this time I opted for Black Cherry - it smells so so good!

Finally, the last item I got yesterday - was completely spontaneous  but I couldn't resist the temptation to buy this gorgeous cushion from Next adorned with the cutest Highland Cow I have ever seen.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Did you shop?

  3. I love the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, I use Liz Earle Cleane & Polish to cleanse but I find it great for quickly sweeping my makeup off beforehand so I don't end up with it smeared all over my face. Saying that I've never tried Bioderma so I don't know what I'm missing out on...!

  4. Love that cushion! I use the Garnier Micellar water - it's nice, but I tend to prefer Bioderma. It's a massive bottle though so great value for money x

  5. That cushion is lovely! I've been wanting to try the Push Up liner ever since I first saw it, it looks like it could be really good. I like the origins mask but I find its a bit too much for my whole face, I tend to just just it on my T-Zone :) x
