Makeup in a Hurry - My 7 Minute Makeup - MUA, Collection, Clarins, Bobby Brown...

Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Clarins, MUA, YSL, Zoeva, MAC, Benefit, Heal Gel
We all have those days when we sleep in and are in a mad panic dash to get organised.  I actually timed myself today to see how fast I could actually get my 'face on'.  The timer read 6 minutes 58 seconds when I stopped the counter.  So let's say 7.  Would have loved 5 minutes, but no matter how much of a hurry I am in, I never slack on the skin prep.  I didn't include the actual cleansing as I had washed my face in the shower beforehand.

The Products

Tools:
My Fingers || YSL Powder Brush ||

The Steps:
I started off by moisturising my face with HealGel.  HealGel really hydrates the skin and is exceptionally good for those drier patches.  Following this, I mixed benefit's That Gal in with a dollop of the Clarins Skin Illusion foundation.  This helps give the foundation an extra glow.  Normally I would use a buffing brush to put on my foundation but if I am in a hurry fingers it is!

The Soap & Glory Blur & Brighten Crayon, does what it says.  Killing two birds with one stone, I was able to lighten those eye bags and cover up any nasty friends at the same time.

I don't particularly like a lot of powder so after running the YSL powder brush over the Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder in Transparent,   I gently pressed the brush over my tea zone and blemishes .

MAC Cream Colour Base products are amazing, they have a number of different functions but today I dabbed a little across the tops of my cheek bones and down the centre of my nose.  This shade is Hush and is a pearly pink colour.

I usually go for a cream blusher but today I chose my favourite powder blush by Bobbi Brown (although on the packaging they actually call it an illuminating bronzer - which I don't really get), in the shade Pink Peony #9.  It is super pretty but you only need the tiniest dab as it is very pigmented. I love my Zoeva Luxe Cheek brush.

For my eyes today I decided to dig out my MUA Pretty Pastels Palette, one I've recently fallen for again.  I used 2 shades.  I used cream to cover the lid and then the light brown shimmer over the crease and corner of the lid to shade.  I used a Zoeva brush that is meant for concealer buffing but I love it for eyeshadow application.   I chose not to wear any eyeliner today, due to the fact I seem to take forever applying it.  I went for Collection No Clumps Mascara - this mascara is lovely, it leaves a very pretty natural defined lash. One of the best on the market right now.

Finally, I completely forgot to photograph it but I am wearing MAC's Plumful on my lips.

  6. Great post! I love how dewy your skin looks with makeup. I have quite oily skin so I tend to go a bit over the top with powder, I should probably learn to be braver!

    1. I never used to be a fan of the dewy look but i've slowly lessened and lessened the amount of powder I use. sometimes i only dab a bit of loose powder on any blemishes. Let it set and then brush it off. xx
