God, didn't half have to prepare for these photos! I knew I was getting them done about 2 months in advance so was taking myself out running - like a the Duracell Bunny on a week night. Not to mention my first ever waxing experience, the whole shebang - legs, underarms and bikini in one sitting - talk about pain!
I arrived at the studio and I got my hair and make up done and was ready to meet the photographer who was called Mel. Yeah, I thought Mel was a woman.. uh, how wrong was I. A sudden wave of dread came over me, but you know what, he was completely professional and put me at ease. I'm not saying the nerves disappeared - but I soon relaxed.
I wanted photographs that were subtle, some people I know like to be a little saucier but I liked things to be left to the imagination - if you know what I mean. I think I got a total of 100 photos shown to me afterwards and I still cannot believe that some of them are actually me. There were photos that were truly awful but I decided to keep them too, I know when I look back at them when I turn 50 I will probably have a different perspective of them.
I am quite proud of these photos so thought that I'd share a few of my favourites with my readers. These are completely clean I didn't include any boob shots here so don't worry - haha.
This is my favourite picture (above) - I just can't believe that it is me.
This one is lovely, it is completely clean but seductive at the same time. I love how Boudoir Photos can be so creative.
You may be wondering why I'm wearing a Star Wars T-shirt above? Basically - my husband loves this shirt, he has had it for years. I've tried throwing it out but he won't have it - I can't stand it. I say to him, 'you're not a teenager now honey'. So I thought it be funny to get some fun memory photos taken with me wearing before I do actually bin it. The Photographer asked if I wanted a pair of scissors and he'd photography me cutting it to shreds. I'm not that cruel - I wouldn't have done that to him. .. as tempting the offer sounded.
This photo is celebrating 2 jean sizes smaller since Christmas :-)
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you are thinking about getting something like this done, I hope it has given you some inspiration. Have a good week. x
