OCC Plastic Passion

I was delighted when Cocktail Cosmetics sent me over a few of the new Lip Tar Shades from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics to try.  The new shades which contain both matte and metallic finishes form part of their 'Plastic Passion Collection 2014' which launch today.  The Plastic Passion Collection contains  6 super shades - 4 of which are matte and 2 have a metallic finish.  Out with the pastels - bring on the Bright Bold & Beautiful! I was very kindly sent three colours to try:
Mannequin, Rollergirl & Hollywood.

Mannequin, is your perfect Barbie pink and in all honesty I wasn't convinced that I would like this but I actually really love it!  This has a matte finish and brings out the happiness in your face.  The matte formula covers the lips perfectly and it dries so fast.  Each tar comes in its own little pouch, with a description on how to apply, and the dinkiest little brush which is so good for precision painting.

Rollergirl, is also a matte finish and it is stunning.  This is a vivacious Lavender and it has the wow factor!  I have been loving purple lips this winter and now I definitely need to carry them over into Spring.  This is the boldest purple I have seen in a long time.

Finally, we have Hollywood.  Hollywood is a metallic finish and it is a beige with a hint of gold.  Now this shade is gorgeous but it really does absolutely nothing for me, but then nude lips don't usually suit me, this would be absolutely stunning on a darker shade of skin.

One tip I would give when using the lip tars would be to make sure your lips are nice and exfoliated before application as the tar will cling to any crack.  Make sure they are nice and moisturised.

I love OCC lip tars so much and I can't wait to get my hands on the others in this collection.

These little Lip Tars launch today and they are available to buy from Cocktail Cosmetics now!  Click the link below to be directed to their website.

Which is your favourite - do you think you could pull of a bold lip?
