MAC Powder Blush in Honey Jasmine was one of three Limited Edition blushes released in the MAC 'All About Orange Collection' earlier in the summer (Honey Jasmine, Royal Sunset and Immortal Flower). I have been meaning to do a review on this for a while now. From this collection I also got my hands on a satin sheen lipstick limited edtion - Sushi Kiss which I have reviewed previously.
This is the only MAC blush in my collection and I have to say I don't own another like it. This is a medium orange shade. With a satin finish, it is free from shimmer. I was quite dubious about this shade on arrival as I normally prefer the softer, pinker, coral tones but Honey Jasmine proved to be quite natural looking on my skin.
Honey Jasmine is true to the product colour and it is build-able, wear as much or as little as you like. It isn't at all powdery and doesn't cling to your pores. Though I have to admit I did find it a little dry.
All in all a great product, however in saying this, I kind of wish I had just gone for Royal Sunset which has more pinkier/coral hues. I have only worn Honey Jasmine once or twice and I don't see me reaching out for it in the future unfortunately.
I have read a lot of rave reviews about it - but for me I do prefer pinks for my cheeks.

This is a gorgeous shade, I much prefer orangey corals to pinks when it comes to blush x

Ooh I don't own a MAC blush but my wishlist is very long, and this one is going on it! Love this shade, so pretty and very different :)

These orange shades are perfect for Mac NC skin tones, like mine. I'd love to get my hands on this one!
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful but I agree with you, I tend to go for more pinks too! It's good to try out of our comfort zones though!

It looks beautiful and really pigmented! I just bought my first MAC blush in Pinch Me. It is a rose pink I think you'd like it! xx RenaKiss and Make Up

Ahh this is an absolutely gorgeous colour! But like you, I prefer pinks on my cheeks. This would be good to change a look up every once in a while though.

It's such a pretty shade, but like you said.. something I wouldn't think of buying. I'm strictly a pink girl myself though!

Such a unique colour! It's not something I would wear a lot but at least you have it just incase you're feeling it one day :P

This looks lovely, I've yet to try any blushers from MAC. I'm with you though, I think overall I do like pinks better :)

I've always been on the fence about MAC blushes and it's nice to see a review that isn't raving about it...I'm going through my MUST HAVE EVERYTHING FROM MAC phase and anything that can stop me from actually cashing out money is a good mark in my book! xx

I am a big orange and coral blush fan, it just seems to suit my slightly odd complex so very well!
ReplyDeleteThat said I had to sit the whole about orange collection out due to having precisely zero funds. Big Sigh!
Maybe this will be one of those blushers that you can layer over or under a pinker blusher for you?

Ahhh it looks gorgeous! I love peachy and coral blushers... they're so much more flattering than pinky or reddy blushes. I think this would look amazing on you xxx

Its a shame you don't like it as it does look nice, I have a thing for peachy/coral colours at the mo!
