Babyliss Curling Wand Pro - Review

I love curling my hair, however because it is quite time consuming, unfortunately it can prove a chore.   I have tried and tested different types of rollers but they just don't work for me.   I normally have to use my hair straighterns to add some waves here and there - until now....

A couple of weeks ago I was sent the Babyliss Curling Wand Pro to try from the lovely people at Very.  Well, it is absolutely fabulous!  'Simply Wrap & Style'

The Babyliss Curling Wand is so easy to use, I'm useless when it comes to anything fiddly so was a little apprehensive as to whether I could manage to do this, however, I could.. and I did!

What it says on the box
Professional Styler for free flowing curls
Longer length barrel with wrap control
5 temperature settings
Integrated heat rest
Universal heat protection glove

To begin plug the wand into the wall and select the desired heat setting.  My hair is pretty tough so I tend to choose the hottest - 210 degrees however, you may prefer to use a lower setting - depending on how curly you want your hair to be.   The wand heats up in a matter of seconds so there is no waiting about if you are in a hurry.  I like the fact that there is an integrated heat protection stand on the wand, keeps your surfaces safe.

Give your hair a comb, you may want to spray some heat protector (not essential), then, as demonstrated in the photo above, hold the wand at a downward angle and literally wrap a small section of hair down the wand holding for a few seconds.   You really don't need to 'hold' for long.  Repeat this step all over your hair.  Depending on how much of a 'pro' you are, you may need a little help doing the back of your head but I managed fine.

If you are a bit worried that you will burn yourself, don't panic, Babyliss have provided a heat resistant glove in the box for your protection.

I like to do my curls a bit tighter than in the above picture,  this was taken quickly for illustrative purposes.

I was out for a 30th birthday on Friday night and I got to use my wand to its full potential, I adored the result.
I finished the look by using a little amount of the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray and scrunched the curls a little - they held the whole night, in fact, my hair was still wavy on Sunday morning!  Now that is what I call a result.

You can buy the Babyliss Curling Wand on the Very website, they are currently on sale at the bargain price of £20, rrp £25  a real beauty bargain.

Have you tried this product before?

  8. I had something very similar to this by Remington. Unfortunately though I really hated it and found it so difficult to use and the glove that came with it was so strange....it had like just two fingers, it wasn't even half a glove...so so weird.

  10. The curls look so pretty! I am super intimated by curling wands for some reason, so I am glad to know that this one is easy to use. :)
