Eyelash Extensions

Getting silk lash extensions put onto your lashes can be so beautiful.  They look more natural than mascara and make such a difference to how your eyes appear.

If done badly, or mistreated however, they can look terrible.  So here are some safety and care tips, for those getting lash extensions for this the wedding season.

  1. Leave them alone as much as possible, I know this is hard, we touch our faces without thinking around 16 to 30 times an hour, according to once recent study.  Not only is touching your skin too much bad for it, playing with your lash extensions will loosen them and cause them to fall out earlier.  Don't touch them for the first 24 hours after application - this will allow them to set.  You should also avoid using strong cleansers and wetting the eyelashes soon after application.
  2. Always get your extension done by a professional such as Lash Design.  Lash extensions use strong and powerful glue, you should NOT risk doing them yourself, you might damage your natural lashes,if you want your lashes removed, do this with a professional as well, because pulling them off might pull your own lashes off with them which I'm sure you do not want.   which I'm sure you do not want.
  3. You should always do your makeup carefully, taking your natural features into account.  Never just choose generic beauty products.  Choose lash extensions that will suit your face shape.

I hope you enjoyed these easy steps. *Guest post - Danielle McAnn

  6. My mother got these for christmas and they actually looked nice! The only problem was that when she had eyeshadow fallout, it would fall on the lashes and be very noticeable. Since she didn't want to put mascara on them, she had to take cotton buds to remove the eyeshadow and it was kind of a pain. But other than that, they looked really amazing and opened up her eyes so much.

  7. Eyelash extensions is a good solution for immediate result, but be aware that no matter what type of extension you get they will thin out your natural eyelashes. Other thing to keep in mind is the maintenance and restriction of having eyelash extension.
