M.A.C Frost Lipstick - Angel Review

image of MAC Frost Lipstick Angel

The newest edition in my MAC lipstick collection is MAC Frost Lipstick - Angel known for being a favourite of Kim Kardashian and one of MACs best sellers.  I persuaded Miss Makeup Magpie to part with this for a bargain.

This is a frost finish lipstick but I personally think that MAC Angel has more a creamy finish - I didn't find it particularly frosty.  I love the vanilla scent.

MAC Angel is a soft pink shade and quite cool toned, very similar to MAC Creme Cup.

I wouldn't say it was particularly moisturising, I had to apply some balm before hand.  It is a very pretty shade of pink - though I think that I am a bit pale to wear this on it's own. When applied with a brighter lip gloss it is far better suited to me, gives it an extra kick.  I prefer a lipstick to be richer in tone, an example of a rich pink that I love by MAC would be MAC Lovelorn it is a deeper and warmer shade altogether, plus I think it suits my skin tone better.

I think MAC Angel would really suit a lady of medium to dark skin tone - in saying this it is still a little gem and I will wear it.  It's nice to know I have another 'Angel' in my makeup bag.

What are your thought on MAC Angel?  What is your favourite MAC lippy?

  6. Such a great daily colour. I have a MUA one that is similar but a bit too pigmented and waxy (for £1 can't really complain too much though haha). However, was looking to get a better quality lipstick in a similar shade - think I just found it! Love the daffodil background, very quirky and spring-y! :)

  7. I agree that some of the 'frost' finishes are not actually that frosty (which I like) :) Angel looks so like my kind of colour!

  16. This is actually one of the only cult favorite MAC lipsticks that I don't own! I've always been curious about it, but I am fair-skinned, so I am thinking that maybe I should skip it?

  21. angel is one of my fav ever lippies! but i'm with u tho... it's too pale for my usual skintone so it's a summer lip for me cos i wear it with a tan. during my paler months (sans fake tan) i just almost dab it on lightly then use a balm (a clear one) and that gives me enough colour so u may wanna try it that way lovely :))
