Saturday Session - Emeli Sandé @home

I've decided to something a little different at the weekend and try to incorporate some more lifestyle posts.  I enjoy reading about other bloggers lives and thought it would be a little more spicier than just constantly reviewing products, breaks it up a bit.  So i bring to you the Saturday Session :-)
Emeli Sandé Homecoming Gig - Friday 19th April - Music Hall, Aberdeen Scotland.

We may not have a Mac Counter in Aberdeen, but we are however home to the ever so talented and beautiful Emeli Sandé and I for one am very proud of this.  It is nice to see a local girl doing so well for herself, starting as a little fish in a big pond.

Emeli won Best British Album and Best British Female at the Brit Awards and her debut album 'Our Version of events' was the biggest selling debut record of 2012.

Emeli was meant to play at the Music Hall last year and we were all left disappointed when she had to cancel to go on tour with Coldplay but to be honest  who could blame her, it was an opportunity she couldn't turn down.  So not surprising when her tickets came on sale in February this year they were sold out in 20 minutes.  It was a full house.

My favourite songs by Emeli are Clown, Suitcase and Read all About it, she sang all of these last night and I actually had a lump in my throat, the voice of this girl is amazing - no backing tracks, just a girl with her band, piano and microphone.

I took my mum along with me and we throughly enjoyed ourselves - and our pints of white wine - classy!

Have you seen Emeli Sandé before?  What did you get up to last night?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend sweet peas
