Soap and Glory 'Cheekmate' Review

Today my Soap & Glory obsession continues with 'Cheekmate' Cheek & Lip Stain.

'A refreshing gel stain with BLUSHBOOT™ technology to enhance circulation in the capillaries of the skin. Plus raspberry seed, kiwi extract & vitamin C to moistuize & condition.'

Cheekmate is a highly pigmented stain for your lips and more obviously your cheeks.
To be honest I would normally avoid stains because I find them a bit too watery and a bit fiddly to apply, however unlike benefit's benetint, Soap & Glory Cheekmate is made up of a gel consistency which I find better to manage on application.

I like a good 'blush' as much as the next girl but you only need a smidgen of this or you could end up looking like picture 1 above.   If you do not blend quick, it will dry and stay like that ever so fast!  Trust me..

For best results apply this to your cheeks before your setting powder and you will be left with a subtle healthy glow to your cheeks like pictures 2 and 3 (the pictures above show the effect of the tint after I have applied my powder, I think it looks fairly natural).

I don't wear tints on my lips because I suffer from chapped lips daily and I feel that the tint only emphasises the dryness so I do prefer to use a gloss.  If you don't have this problem however, the cheek and lip tint will compliment each other nicely.

It doesn't feel too sticky either.  I'm definitely a tint convert now.  I give it a whopping 9/10

Soap & Glory Cheekmate is available to buy at your local Boots for £8.00

Have you tried this yet?  What is your favourite Soap & Glory Product?

*You can be left with red stains on your fingers after your done but it is nothing makeup remover or some warm water won't remove.

  1. I love cheek tints, but I always seem to put too much on! This one looks lovely on you, i've not tried any S&G cosmetics yet, I might have to pick this up at the weekend :)
