For the past 2 years or so I have been using Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuinating Base. It is super gorgeous but also super expensive. Recently I purchased L'Orèal Lumi Magique Base Primer and I think it is a pretty close dupe at a fraction of the price.
Differences/Similarities
The left swatch is Chanel and the right is L'Oréal. The Chanel Base is a crisp white shade whilst the L'oréal is slightly more pearlescent with a tiny bit more shine. When blended into the skin leave a beautiful dewy glow.

When blended you are left with a dewy glow. Half the hand has L'Oréal and the other Chanel but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference if I hadn't pointed this out. |
I prefer the packaging of the L'oréal Lumi Magique over the Chanel because it has a sleek container and pump head which makes application easier, whereas the Chanel bottle is a little clumsy with its massive head, it makes it near impossible to pour the littlest bit out. It does however come with an applicator but if you are anything like me, this will be lost fairly soon after purchasing. I personally dip a foundation brush into and then apply. I find that easier.
They both have similar fragrances they smell quite fruity. They are both extremely soft and velvety in texture.
These products can also be added to foundation to lighten it slightly if needed
And there is absolutely no argument that they both leave your skin beautifully finished and prepped for your foundation. I would with both, apply a moisturiser first.
As previously mentioned the biggest difference between these is the price, Chanel retails at a hefty £31+ depending on where you purchase it and the L'Oréal retails at £10 for effectively a perfect dupe.
Although I love the Chanel I have to admit it is more for the name, I don't think I will be repurchasing Le Blanc Chanel in the future- not when L'Oréal is so much cheaper and the same quality.
What are your thoughts, have you tried either or both of these? xx

Just found your blog via Makeup Pixi3, love this review! Always great finding a cheaper product that does the same thing :)
