fresh Sugar Lip Polish Review

This winter my lips have really suffered, I presume it has a lot to do with the change in weather.  No matter how much lip balm I use, I still wake up in the morning with dry, flakey, chapped lips.  Really attractive.. I know!

I recently won a selection of fresh products and within this included  a sample of fresh Sugar Lip Polish.

'This unique formula is enriched with real brown sugar crystals to gently buff away dry flakes. It nourishes the lips with the oils of meadowfoam seed, jojoba seed, and grapeseed while shea butter provides long-lasting moisture.'

This fresh Sugar Lip Polish came packaged in a small plastic tub, roughly the size of a Blistex Lip Balm.  It contains 8g of product.

The polish is a concoction of brown sugar and isn't the most pleasant of colours however, it doesn't smell too bad at all.  I must admit the flavour is quite strong and isn't as tasty as say the Lush lip scrubs, but this still shouldn't put you off.

The sugar lip polish gently exfoliates the dry skin from you sore chapped lips instantly whilst at the same time conditioning, leaving them feeling nourished.  It is non sticky and the crystals dissolve into your lips.

If your lips are bleeding in any way, definitely do not use this and find yourself a medicated brand.  The exfoliation would only make things worse in this instance.

As always though fresh products are notoriously expensive, I'm not rightly sure how much this 8g sample would cost you however the full size Sugar Lips Polish in 0.6 oz would set you back $22.50 in Sephora and a whopping £29.95 from Cosmetics Now UK.

Apparently sugar used to be used as a natural antiseptic for scrapes and the founders grandmothers swore by it for healing scrapes. So they decided to 'bottle it up' and keep the ritual going.

If you feel like treating yourself to something a little more Cha Ching, Cha Ching then i'd say try this out you won't look back, however if you are on a budget, you can opt to buy Lush Lip Scrub which i'm told is gorgeous and at reasonable price of £5.95 for 25g

I have been using the fresh Sugar Lip Polish daily morning and night and I really like it.  You will find a lot of mixed reviews about the lip polish but at the end of the day you need to try it to make your own mind up.  I personally love it.

  1. Ooh this sounds lovely :) I'm yet to try a lip scrub but this one sounds really nice! xx

  2. My lips are always the same and I've found lush lip scrubs don't work for me that well anymore so I'd definitely love to try this, just so pricey though! x

    1. I have never tried the Lush scrubs but heard a lot about them x

  3. They only lip scrub I have tried is from Lush. This one sounds nice, so interesting that sugar used to be used to heal scrapes!
