I am sure I am not alone here - if I am lucky enough to have a Saturday at home, when the kids are busy with their activities and the hubby is away. When the rain is lashing down outside I love to snuggle up in bed at 3 o'clock with a cup of tea, packet of chocolate digestives and my laptop.

The new Illamasqua Collection 'Once' is now available to buy and has definitely left me drooling this afternoon.. With an Autumn wedding approaching, I will be popping some of these beauties in my shopping basket. In particular the Vintage Metallix eyeshadow in the shades Courtier and Embellish. They look super gorgeous.
I am returning to work after a 'career break' to raise my children next month too. I think these lovelies would make me feel so much more confident.. any excuse eh?
I adore Illamasqua, they never fail to disappoint me. I only wish the brand was more readily available in Aberdeen.

Hey all, this is my ice bucket challenge video. I know I name other people in the video but for all my blogger friends, I nominate Bravenezz.com, Lola & Behold, A Little Boat Sailing and Sophie Rose Hearts. I think it is brilliant way to help raise awareness and money to these extremely worthy causes. This was freezing cold, but only for a matter of moments, and the least I could do for charity. I wish I could do more but it is a start.
If you have already done it, please post your videos anyway.
If anyone reading this has yet to be nominated - consider yourself tagged.
I chose to text Ice to 70550 for Macmillan, . Good luck guys you have 24 hours.

I have been in bed most of the weekend with flu however, I decided to venture out for some lunch with a friend earlier. It took all of my energy to get ready so decided to keep the makeup simple. I am showcasing the main items of my look. I do have a bb cream, blusher and mascara on too, but nothing heavy.

My pick for today is MAC Paint Pot in the shade 'Constructivist'. The paint pots are one of MACs biggest sellers but I have to admit this is my very first one!
The paint pots are great value for money, even if they do cost £14.50 - they last ages and the colours are so rich and the creams so velvety, that you only need a smidgen at a time.
Constructivist is a lovely, slightly shimmery, deep velvety brown with soft red undertones - this shade, in my opinion, would suit every skin tone - a real all rounder. It goes onto the lid creamy but soon dries.
Before purchasing MAC Constructivist, I did avoid cream eyeshadows as I felt they just creased quickly however, this on its own, i'd say will last you half a day before a touch up - if used with a primer, all day. I do recommend always using a primer as it provides a good base for your shadow. This shade is also very build able and I like to put it on in layers.
I particularly like this shade because although it is extremely rich - it isn't too over powering and it makes my eyes look very soft.
I have 2 more paint pots on their way so watch this space. I think they will also complement constructivist for a nice creamy smokey eye.
What are your thoughts on the paint pots and do you own this one?
